Like any major city, Rio de Janeiro has some violence and safety problems. Therefore please follow this safety tips:

Keep your camera in your bag

- Be careful with you bags and lap tops.
- Use the airport official taxis.
- When you rent a car, demand the “Vistoria” documents.
- Keep your documents and valuables in the hotel’s safety box.
- Try to do things in group.
- Carry only the money you will need for the day.
- Take your cameras inside a bag.
